Samrah Fatima

Samrah Fatima is pursuing her Master’s in History from Aligarh Muslim University. She is interested in diverse topics, including women and gender relations in Indian history and the evolution of Indian literature. Being a student of medieval Indian history, she feels that it is important to discuss the past with honesty and prevent the promotion of false narratives. She is passionate about research, and her curiosity for history encourages her to explore different questions. She wants to learn about Partition literature and has volunteered as a Citizen Historian for the 1947 Partition Archive. She is skilled in creative writing and likes to explore stories about unheard voices. She hopes to contribute towards countering the stereotypes surrounding Muslim women. Samrah looks forward to a career where she can combine her interests and responsibilities.
