Aaliyah Beg

Aaliyah is currently pursuing bachelors of technology in the field of Computer Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia. She is a budding programmer and always shows curiosity to collaborate on projects with great cause. She has shown extreme motivation towards academia, particularly engaging creative research and amazing project works and her recent achievement talks loud about the same. Due to her keen research interest, she was selected as a Summer Research Fellow to work at SPL, KCIS, LTRC, IIITH and was funded by the Indian Academies of Sciences for this internship. She made our university proud by representing Jamia Millia Islamia nationally and winning the prestigious Smart India Hackathon, a pan-India Hackathon conducted by Ministry of Education, Government of India. She alongside her team curated a self care app which focuses on four tracks namely Physical, Mental, Social and Work health. She also worked with The Girl Code as a Chapter Intern and Girl Code It Pune as a Graphic Design Lead both for the cause of empowering women in tech and creating a healthy and amazing community for the same. Aaliyah is also a passionate Artist, have had newspaper mention in the Hindustan Times for winning the HT Pace Challenge. Part from she was also awarded scholarship to attend the Harvard WECode Conference 2022 and 2023.
