Mehraj Rashid Shaikh

With 12 years of experience in the field of education and social work, Mehraj has a distinguished background in both the academic and NGO sectors. She has expertise in lecturing, training, teaching, project management, field project coordination, academic counselling and mentoring. Mehraj excels in organizing training programmes, workshops, seminars, field visits, conferences as well as leading committees and handling paper-related tasks. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from VSI, Pune University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Environment and Sustainable Development from Indira Gandhi National Open University. She has delivered many guest lectures and guided students for their projects.

Mehraj has also worked as an Executive (Training and Advocacy) at an NGO - Arpan, focused on raising awareness about child sexual abuse. While working for the NGO she developed a deep interest in mental health and decided to pursue her PhD merging both of her areas of interest. Her research interest focuses on Urbanisation and Mental Health. Driven by a passion for serving humanity and protecting the environment, Mehraj is committed to leveraging their skills to make a positive impact on people and the planet. She is a committed plant person, journaling enthusiast, home chef, movie critique who believes in minimalism and sustainable lifestyle.
