Muna Ali is an international award-winning impact strategist with over 20 years of experience in delivering social, digital & environmental impact across sectors, markets, and cultures. Muna works to advance an inclusive and equitable economy in Asia Pacific. As Vice President-Social Impact, APAC, she has established digital skills programs supporting more than 10 million small and micro businesses in Indonesia and Bangladesh. These programs aid recovery and resilience efforts, especially in the post-pandemic new normal world. Prior to Visa, Muna tested her entrepreneurial mindset with a start-up consultancy, being the architect of an award-winning sustainability strategy framework. In her earlier career, Muna led Water Stewardship, Sustainability & Sustainability Communications, and Government Engagement at PepsiCo India that supported the company’s public commitments of Performance with Purpose. In her previous roles as a management consultant first with PwC and then EY, Muna has been part of pioneering teams for establishing climate change, sustainability & CSR services across APAC, the Middle East, and Europe. An active conference speaker, Muna has been a regular invitee to industry panels, conferences, and surveys. She is passionate about women entrepreneurship, being a Board member of charities working for advancing entrepreneurship among marginalized women. A regular volunteer, Muna supports charities through onsite and virtual volunteering, and fundraising. She is a supporter and mentor of causes relating to health, education, the environment, and inclusive leadership. Muna is a Phoney Doctor (Ph.D.), having earned her degree in Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
