Sanaa Shaikh

Sanaa is a CSR and development sector professional with 15+ years of experience with leading non-profit organizations. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer of United Way Mumbai where she leads Operations, HR, Admin, Communications, CSR advisory, Investor Relations, Resource Mobilization, and Community Relations.

Prior to joining United Way, Sanaa was the Chief Operating Officer of a Mumbai based non-profit organization working with children from marginalized communities. She has led a team of 200 staff and worked across a wide range of functions including Donor Relations, HR, Education, and Community Work. She has designed and led projects in school adoption, public-private partnership, remedial education, counseling, early childhood education, and teacher training. Her experience includes grassroots level work in municipal schools of Mumbai and tribal communities in Maharashtra. She has a keen interest in child rights and has co-authored a book on Understanding Children’s Rights through the lens of the UN Convention on Rights of the Child.
