Sarayu is a seasoned leader with expertise in operations, DEI, and social justice advocacy.
Most recently, she served as the inaugural Director of Special Programs at the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Alexandria, VA, where she launched the office’s first Racial and Social Equity Program. Her responsibilities included overseeing multi-source grants that funded initiatives for marginalized communities, victim services, and criminal justice reform. Sarayu previously served as a District Operations Manager at Public Storage and as a Logistics Officer in the U.S. Army supporting operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. She holds an MBA from Norwich University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois-Chicago. Deeply rooted in a lineage of veterans and public servants, Sarayu is passionate about uplifting others and giving back to her community. In her free time, she can often be found exploring California’s beautiful parks or teaching yoga in her community.
