Zeba Warsi is an award-winning broadcast journalist from India, presently with PBS NewsHour based in New York/Washington DC focused on foreign affairs, women and human rights. For the past eight years, she has closely covered the rise of populist nationalism, religious violence, hate crimes, social movements and sexual violence in India as a special correspondent with CNN-News18, CNN's affiliate in India. She’s a graduate of Columbia Journalism School with an M.A. in Politics, an advanced masters for experienced journalists from around the world.
Zeba has won the UNFPA Laadli Award for Gender sensitivity 2021 for a feature on how protest politics in India acquired feminist undertones.
In 2020, she was awarded the Young Professional of the Year’ at ENBA Awards for reportage of the anti-CAA protests, Delhi Riots and the Coronavirus Pandemic.
She won the 2019 Red Ink Award Special Mention for Outstanding Journalism, Human Rights Category and was a finalist at the 2019 Asian TV Awards in the Best News Story Category for an investigation on child sex trade.
