Leadership Educator I Coach | Researcher I Writing about Identity & Leadership

Dr. Stuti Shukla is a Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School and

the founder of Mitti Leadership Consulting. For over two decades, she has worked with mission-
driven leaders and organizations, helping them sharpen their strategic thinking, navigate complexity, and lead transformative change.

Her career began in India’s education nonprofit sector, where she worked to expand access to
quality education and build leadership capacity in public school systems. Those early years
shaped her deep commitment to leadership development and systemic change. Stuti has coached and trained leaders from a wide range of backgrounds, from midcareer professionals at HKS to political leaders, youth fellows, women entrepreneurs, activists, nonprofit executives, and new managers. She has designed and facilitated leadership workshops across sectors and co-
created Leadership from the Inside-Out, a flagship course at Harvard. She is also co-authoring a book based on this work.

She holds a Doctorate and Master’s in Education from Harvard University and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. A trained Immunity to Change practitioner, she helps leaders identify and break through hidden barriers to growth. She also conducts Subject-Object Interviews to assess adult development stages, supporting leaders
in strengthening self-awareness and leadership capacity. As a Co-Active Coach and member of
the International Coaching Federation, Stuti takes an inquiry-driven, developmental approach— challenging leaders to think boldly, step into their full potential, and drive meaningful change.

She lives in Boston with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Leia.
