Erum Shakeel, a development professional, has recently completed her Impact Fellowship at Global Governance Initiative. Grown up in Rajasthan, she is currently working as a CBSE PMU member with Lend-A-Hand India in Delhi to implement a World Bank Project. Her previous projects include implementing vocational education under Samagra Shiksha & execution of the National Rural Livelihood Mission by the Ministry of Rural Development. She completed her Masters' in Development from Azim Premji University, which opened various avenues for her to gain valuable grassroots experience in working with nomadic tribes of J&K, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and rural Rajasthan in areas of financial inclusion, skill development, health & nutrition, and gender inequality. One of her ground stories is also featured on the digital platform “India Development Review”.
For Erum, traveling has always been a significant part of her life. She feels it is a mental, physical, and spiritual regeneration of the body. Apart from this, her inclination towards mental well-being and body positivity makes her practice meditation these days.
