Maumil Mehraj

Maumil Mehraj, an undergraduate student at Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, was born and raised in Kashmir, and carries her homeland with her in the things that she does. She has held top positions in various societies of her college, besides continually writing for several online and offline publications. She has recently been selected for The Summer Institute's International Writing Programme hosted by the University of Iowa, and will be interning as a copy-editor at the 1947 Partition Archive. She has also worked with Rupa Publications and National Foundation for India in the past. The belief that education is the only way out is what keeps her going. She hopes to do justice to her belief and wishes to do Master’s while keeping the lived realities of Kashmir in mind with the prospect of writing about it someday.
