Dr. Shamnah C Usman, born and brought up in Kerala, is currently pursuing her MHA from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, where she's all set to re-join the healthcare industry as a management trainee at Tata Medical and Diagnostics. She had earlier practiced as a dentist but heard the clarion call for a career in management. She believes in the institution of education as the great equalizer and is a vociferous supporter of efforts to bring access to knowledge. She regards collective wisdom, resilience, and above all, social capital, as means to empower societies and individuals. She's a voracious reader, eternally curious, and loves to explore cultures, cuisines, and climates. A book fiend by nature, she could be found holed up with one or recreating Greek mythology for her six-year-old.
