Sumaiya Begam A

Sumaiya Begam is a second-year MBA student at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. She recently completed her internship with Uber in a Business development role. She holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering from Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu. She was awarded the best outgoing student of her batch (2008-2012) for all-around excellence in academics, extra-curricular, and leadership activities. She was also a University rank holder and a gold medalist. She worked with Infosys Limited for four years in a technology analyst role for a leading UK banking client. Later, she joined State Street. A top US Investment Bank is a senior associate’s position to lead a technology team for the bank. After working in the IT industry for 5+ years, she pursued her dream of taking up management education from a leading B-School. Her long-term vision is to take a leadership role in a leading Organization 10 years down the line.
