Aiman Hashmi holds an L.L.B. from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and a B.A. (Honours) in English from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. As a Judicial Law Clerk at the Supreme Court of India, she has worked on cases ranging from constitutional law, criminal law, election laws to labour and environment laws. She has assisted in drafting amendments to the Data Protection Bill, Special Mentions and Supplementary Questions to the Rajya Sabha for Prof. M.V. Rajeev Gowda, former Member of Parliament, and consulted on the Report of the Ad-hoc Committee in the Rajya Sabha on Amendments to Legislations. She has contributed articles to the Hindu and an essay on election laws for the India International Centre Quarterly. She has worked as the Editor for the Delhi Law Review and frequently writes about legal and policy issues for forums like The Wire, and The Week (India).
