Shaiza

Shaiza is building the Partnerships vertical at an early stage non-profit based in Uttar Pradesh. In her previous professional experiences, she has worked in various teaching and leadership roles in organisations like Educational Initiatives, Shiv Nadar School and Teach for India. Shaiza grew up in a community where she realised women do not have access to life skills needed to be financially independent and self-sufficient. She strongly believes that equipping young women with the right tools of contextual problem solving, and building self-awareness is the route towards empowering them for leading independent lives. She is currently looking forward to gain experience in the social development sector and work in the public education space to understand the nuances of education policies and execution. In her free time, she is found immersed in painting and learning new media of artistic expression.
