Uzma Shamim

Born and brought up in Patna, Bihar, Uzma Shamim is currently working as a Program Associate in the development sector in Delhi. She completed her undergraduate and post-graduate studies in English Literature from St. Stephen’s College and has previously worked with the National Book Trust, India, where she was involved in editorial and translation projects, and the New Delhi World Book Fair 2023. Through her involvement with schools in Delhi and Ladakh, Uzma developed a keen interest in working in the education sector at the grassroots level and aims to contribute towards making it more equitable and accessible. An overzealous fan of Leslie Knope and an aspiring curator of flowers, she is always up for a chat on poetry, all things plants and Bollywood.
